Urho's critic: 11 months. Big male with strong bones. He is little long in head with foreface. Strong bite. Nice round eyes. Good angulations, but little long in loin. Strong feets. Excellent in coat. Good character.

Walma's critic: 23 months. Excellent type. Very feminine. Good head, bite and eyes. Nice light ears. Excellent bones. Good tail, feet and coat. Moves easy with good tail action, just little close behind. Good character.

Swedish Schapendoes Clubshow

Last weekend Swedish Schapendoes Club held their Clubshow, where Roope's daughter Molly, Bryngans Nina Simone, won junior class with CK (excellent)! Grattis! Siblings of Molly: Sara Vaughan "Pim", Dinah Washington "Mira" and Benny Goodman "Babar" all got second prize (good). Males were judged by Ilona Onstenk-Schenk and bitches by John Wauben from Holland. There was 146 Schapendoezen enter in to this show.

One of Hertha's siblings (5th of all 6) were at veterinary to take these kidney and liver tests, and unfortunately there was one more case with high ALT levels. Now there is four "sick" puppies and one healthy. The last puppy is going to take blood samples during this May.

Hertha's brother, fourth of six, has been in vet and his liver and kidney results were perfectly healthy.

Liver and kidney results

Roope and Hertha were today at veterinarian and they took liver and kidney results from both, because two of Hertha's siblings has very high liver ALT-results. The first Hertha's brother were treated only because of xylitol poisoning, but the vet was already then wondering why the ALT is so high with so little amount of xylitol. After that breeder of these puppies asked other siblings to take the blood samples together with next vaccinations, and last week Hertha's one other sibling were examined and ALT was also high, all other numbers were ok.

Roope's results were perfectly fine, he is healthy as horse. And Hertha has also all other results fine, but this ALT is so high that the machine couldn't tell any number. This is weird case, because Hertha should be very ill with these kind of results. She should have epileptic symptoms, but she is so happy and so normal youngster. We will examine this more, hope we will have some kind of answer that where this is coming, is it from genes or something during pregnancy or what... it can not be any failure of machine, because all of these three has been in different veterinarian. So from now on Hertha will be full time pet, not for breeding.

Walma, Tico and mother of Roope, Amelie-Sofie van het Rollecaterdeel, were in eye-examinations. Walma has perfectly clear eyes of any eye-diseases. Tico has minimal cataract spots in seam of lens, in both eyes, in other way he has clear eyes. Amelie-Sofie has clear eyes, only some blurriness in lens, which is general for dogs at her age (10,5 years).

Veterinary checked also Tico's knees and those were fine, result is 0/0.
