Walman kennelnimen alla kasvatamme pienimuotoisesti hollantilaisia lammaspiskejä – Nederlandse Schapendoes. Perheeseemme kuuluu tällä hetkellä itseni ja mieheni lisäksi kolme karvaista kaveria, jotka asuvat kanssamme rakastettuina perheenjäseninä.
Ensimmäisen kosketuksen rotuun sain vuonna 2001, jolloin lapsuudenkotiini muutti schapendoesuros Olli (Buffing Croque-Carl). Nyt kymmenen vuodenkin jälkeen rotu on edelleen ehdoton ykkönen ja pitkän sekä huolellisen harkinnan jälkeen ensimmäiset omat kasvatit syntyivät keväällä 2011.

Olen suorittanut kasvattajan peruskurssin syksyllä 2008 sekä allekirjoittanut Suomen Kennelliiton kasvattajasitoumuksen. Kennelnimi - Walman - minulle on myönnetty elokuussa 2009. Kuten moni varmasti arvaa, kennelnimellä haluan kunnioittaa jalostustyöni kantanarttua, Ruotsista tuotua Walmaa (Chappers All For Love).

Kasvatustyössäni haluan edetä rauhassa, pentueita tullaan tekemään harkitusti ja huolella suunnitelluista yhdistelmistä. Tarkoitukseni on kasvattaa terveitä, luonteikkaita ja rotutyypillisiä koiria, joiden kanssa on ensisijaisesti ilo elää. Harrastuneisuus on plussaa ja se rodussa onkin se mikä minua viehättää: aina lähdetään ilolla touhuihin mukaan, mutta tekemisen puutteessakaan ei mennä pitkin seiniä. Itse harrastamme ahkerasti lenkkeilyä sekä koiranäyttelyitä ja jonkin verran tottelevaisuutta.

Kennel Walman has a small scale Schapendoes breeding, located South Finland. Our family consists of me and my husband, plus our three wonderful Schapendoezen. Our dogs are living with the family as loving family-members.

I got my very first touch with the breed in 2001, when Schapendoes-male Olli (Buffing Croque-Carl) moved to live with us. Still after ten years this breed is the number one for me, and after long and careful thinking my very first litter saw the daylight in spring 2011.

I have completed the Breeder’s course organized by the Finnish Kennel Club and signed commitment to follow Kennel Club’s rules as a breeder and a dog owner. Kennel prefix - Walman - I got in August 2009. And as you can guess, with the prefix I want to honour my very first breeding bitch, Swedish imported Walma (Chappers All For Love).

On my “breeding program” I want to take slowly and will make puppies from the carefully consider combinations. My intentions are breeding healthy and breed typical Schapendoes with nice characters, dogs which are easy to live with. All the hobbies are plus and that’s the thing why I love the breed: always happy to do, but do not get nuts if there’s nothing happening. With my dogs we are making a long walks every day, and in time to time some shows and obedience too.
